What do Jesus Christ and Tyler, the Creator have in common?

Absolutely Nothing…

And yet…

I mean we could say they are both controversial iconoclastic figures. Of which, many gatekeepers found them to be threatening. This was likely because they were upending much of the cultural tradition or what acceptable for the culture at the time.

As time has gone on we found out they both actually had a deep reverence for the ones that came before. So much so, it must be noted their successes were mostly successful because of those that came before them.

When asked a question, Jesus was often ambiguous in his response.

When it comes to the question of Tyler’s sexuality, the answer is often ambiguous as well.

Okay, that last one was a joke.

Obviously, these are very LOOSE comparisons. Mr. the Creator does not quite have the same credentials as Jesus Christ. I mean the closest thing Tyler ever did to turning water to wine is turn from an angsty skateboarding outlet for suburban kids to an brilliant alt-pop/rap auteur.

What does all of this mean?
