I love this song by Marty.

This sounds feels like a lost track from the collaborative album between James Blake and Kanye West, a project that may only come to fruition after either artist dies.

Well, that’s dark.

There is a strength in conveying complex thoughts and emotions in simplistic writing. Moving on to the song itself, it’s fantastic. I love the grand yet minimalistic sounds. The use of a string sample that is then subverted at the beat switch in the song is reminiscent of the high-level creativity I expect from artists like Kanye West, similar to what was heard in Late Registration.
