6 Christian Albums for Frank Ocean fans
Frank! Oh, Frank! Where have you been good sir?
It has been a decade-plus since the release of Channel Orange. Thank God! This album opened up the landscape for contemporary R&B, with his genre-bending premiere. While some of us are waiting for his 3rd release, this would be a good time to peruse the Christian aisle, for some alt-rock/sub-atomic r&b records that give you all the feels.
You might like these albums if you like Channel Orange.

This album comprises honest internal conversations paired against open, hope-filled spacey soundscapes. It is a blend of smooth rock and alternative R&B, contemplating the uncertainty of life and giving prescriptions on how to traverse the unknown. When you are a little unsure of what next steps to take in life. Take a long day drive and throw this record on.
2. Shua — Fix Myself to Death
Shua comes through with smooth lounge rock with occasional bursts of raw emotion. It serves as an exercise in self-analysis, with the opening song “Fix Myself to Death” setting the tone. The album plays out as a satirical assessment of self-destructive behaviors and relationships, eventually pointing towards seeking healthy solutions.

*There is a song on this album called “Backbreaker”. It goes with the concept of the record but it is kind of a steamy listen, so be careful… or just wait until you get married and then listen to it.
4. Antoine Bradford — Light Will Find You
This album completes a trilogy of records, reflecting on a tumultuous journey with ups and downs. With mostly singer-songwriter material, the album features beautiful harmonies and a soothing, sultry voice.
5. Sondae — Diary Entry
This record leads up to the artist’s first full-length album with mofo music, “Pilgrim’s Road.” It showcases a smooth R&B rock combination, with standouts such as “Roses Never Clothe Themselves” and “Back to You.”
6. Xavier Omar — If You Feel
This album showcases Xavier Omar’s versatility, combining different sounds and styles, reminiscent of artists like James Blake, Dru Hill, and Kanye West. This also gives a more straightforward
